Job Description:
The Social Work Department is seeking an applicant for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning fall 2024.
Faculty are responsible for a 3/3 teaching load (which includes an automatic 1/1 course release for research until tenured) and are expected to be able to teach across the curriculum.
The incumbent will be teaching two macro practice courses - Community & Organizations, and Policy as well as foundational social work skills and practice with groups.
In addition to teaching excellence, tenure and promotion guidelines for the department require faculty to engage in research and scholarship that result in publications and presentations.
Service expectations include service to the department, the college, and the profession.
Examples of service include academic advising, holding administrative positions in the department, serving on college-wide committees or initiatives, etc.
Annual Salary: $77,410.

Minimum of an MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program or equivalency established.
Minimum of two years post-MSW practice experience.
Commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics.

NY LCSW or NY LCSW eligible
PhD/DSW in Social Work, Social Welfare or related field
Prior college teaching experience
Macro practice experience
