Looking for something for your science obsessed kid to do durring break? Or are you a homeschooling parent looking? I am a researcher at Upstate Algae Laboratory, organizing an educational workshop for high school and upper-middle-school age students on February 20th.
The workshop, held at Fairfield Inn & Suites on Wolf Rd in Albany, will feature two sessions at 10 am (6 slots left) and 2 pm(20 slots left), each lasting 4 hours.
The focus is on introducing students to algae and exploring their unique evolutionary story through a combination of short lectures and hands-on experiments.
The cost is $49 per student, and lunch/dinner will be provided.
Pre-registration is required, with a limit of 20 students per workshop.
