Job Description: Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/ Chief Diversity Officer (SVCDEI/CDO) and Hispanic Leadership Institute, Faculty Diversity Program and Graduate diversity Fellowship Program as appropriate; Assist in the management of calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Exercise discretion in committing time, evaluating needs, and ensuring appointments and meetings are organized and timely; Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements for members of the office of diversity, equity and Inclusion (ODEI), including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation; Manage and prioritize tasks, keeping the ODEI staff advised of time-sensitive and issues, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard; Maintain confidential records and files, ensuring that all information is organized and easily accessible; Assist with event planning and coordination, including conferences, meetings, and special projects and events as needed; Conduct research and gather information for the preparation of documents, reports, tables, and charts; Manage the filing system, including organization and maintenance of correspondence, notes, and other required paperwork; Provide meeting support to the SVCDEI/CDO Manage meeting materials, facilitation meetings when needed and attend leadership meetings as needed; Manage daily calendar, schedule meetings, travel and special projects as they arise; Coordinate and manage requests for data and other communications from internal and external customers; Independently respond to inquiries and route them to the appropriate administrative staff to ensure that open inquiries are assigned and addressed; Serve as the primary contact for on answering phones, forwarding calls and taking messages; Available to travel with the office staff as needed.
Work effectively with other offices within SUNY System Administration to achieve these and other tasks.
Requirements: Qualifications Minimum of an Associate's Degree 3-5 years of experience Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software programs Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal skills Additional Information: Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications.
The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $67,000.
