We are on the lookout for a seasoned Dental Assistant ready to take their career to the next level by joining our dynamic team as an Oral Surgery Assistant.
This pivotal role involves traveling between our esteemed Latham and Albany, NY practices, where you will be intricately trained to support oral surgery procedures.
As part of our surgical team, you will play a key role in providing both preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring our patients receive unparalleled dental services.

Capital District Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons

Schedule:
4 days in Albany + 1 day in Latham
Responsibilities:
Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records
Operating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposes
Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols
Assisting the surgeon with all chairside procedures including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup
Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring vital signs during procedures
Providing patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes
Monitoring stock dental implants and ordering when required
Ensuring that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Certified dental assistant program (preferred)
1+ years of dental assisting experience
Oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant certification (preferred)
Radiography certification (preferred)
CPR Certified
